Unity, Growth, and Memories: Liisa Patrick’s Reflection on Traffic Tech’s 35 Year Anniversary

Celebrating 35 years of success is no small feat for any company, and for Traffic Tech, it’s a true milestone. As part of our anniversary celebration, we are featuring different employees and their journeys at Traffic Tech. In this edition, we are thrilled to feature Liisa Patrick, Senior Account Executive at our Mississauga, Canada location.

Liisa started her journey with Traffic Tech in 2006 and after leaving in 2009, she finally returned to her team in 2013. Throughout her time at Traffic Tech, she has seen the company grow and evolve, and has played an integral role in its success. In this blog, we’ll hear more about her journey, her favorite moments, and her thoughts on the evolution of Traffic Tech’s culture.

When asked about what the company’s 35-year anniversary means to her, Liisa shared the following: “The 35 year anniversary defines Traffic Tech’s long-term goals and hard work over the past 35 years. From the organization’s initial vision to the growth we have seen today, it’s a true celebration of hard work, dedication and determination by each and every employee here. To see the company grow over the past 17 years has been exciting. Knowing I’m a part of a team who truly is “The Hardest Working Team in Transport” makes it a humbling experience to be working with such amazing people.”

Liisa’s journey within the company is a testament to her dedication and growth. She started with little knowledge and experience in the logistics industry, but has now grown into a successful Senior Sales Executive. This achievement was made possible not only by her hard work, but also by the support of the management team and peers who played a significant role in helping her thrive.

Although Traffic Tech is known to be the hardest working team in transport, Liisa also highlights the fun memories she has made during the company’s corporate events. She has fond memories of great venues, delicious food, and lots of laughter with her amazing colleagues.

When it comes to her favorite part about her sales role, Liisa emphasizes her love for her customers and providing them with the highest level of service. She finds it extremely rewarding to generate sales that help the growth of Traffic Tech. wIn addition, she appreciates the sense of empowerment that management provides her in conducting her business and servicing her customers.

Speaking about the Traffic Tech culture, Liisa describes it as ‘unified’. Despite our teams being located in various offices around the globe, the company invests in technology that helps employees feel connected with each other. Platforms like Workvivo help create a more relaxed and social setting where employees can share their thoughts, give shoutouts to colleagues, and see the faces of their colleagues around the world.

As for advice to Traffic Tech employees on their first day, Liisa advises them not to feel overwhelmed. She highlights the company’s outstanding training program under the guidance of Ray, Mary-Ann, and their team, along with experienced ops facilitators, who provide new employees with the tools and knowledge they need to be successful.

Finally, when asked what she’s most looking forward to about Traffic Tech’s future, Liisa’s answer was simple: “To see the company continue to grow and expand globally with more great people in new markets, while strengthening the services we have to offer our customers!”
